Fancy Dress
Will take place on Sunday shortly after completion of the show, the time will be announced on the day to allow entrants to prepare!! This is free of charge and anyone at The Happening may enter.
Tide Timetable
Is as a file above to download. Please be aware the 'Strood' to the Island will flood, therefore it is best to avoid crossing for 1 hour either side of high tide.

Mersea Island and the Strood Causeway - this road crossing gets flooded when the tides are greater than 5M, I will add the timetable as a PDF file above.
Please note - to enter you must complete 3 forms - the Booking form, the Dog Entry form and the Meal Order form (if you wish a meal on the evenings)
The Manchester Terrier Happening is an event which has been running for nearly 30 years and is held in a different country each year, and this year it is the turn of the UK.
It is being held at Waldegraves Holiday Park on the Essex coast, where walks on the beach and local areas will keep you fit!
It is the opportunity for Manchester Terrier owners from all over the world to get together and have fun with their dogs and socialise with like-minded enthusiasts!
You can take part in games, terrier racing (on the Saturday) and the show (on the Sunday) Don't worry, there are pet dog classes too! each dog gains points at each event which, when totalled will give us the best overall Manchester Terrier. The winner earns the prestige of being the Happening Champion for that year, guardian of the trophy at the top of the page for a year and have their dog's name engraved on the base!
We already have our judge, a Manchester Terrier owner/breeder from Europe, but the identity will not be known until after the closing date of entries.
Booking for static caravans and camping is now available direct with Waldegraves booking office!

Platinum holiday homes £335 from Friday to Monday
Gold holiday homes £255 from Friday to Monday.
All these can be extended, camping per night but holiday homes are only Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday, still at the discounted price for our group!
